The default maintenance password for the Distribution Center is admin. On a new installation of the Distribution Center, administrator is prompted to change password upon launching the UI for the first time or will continue to get prompted until the password has been changed. If you have forgotten an already changed administration password, please use the following to reset your password.

 

  1. Close the Distribution Center UI if open.

  2. Stop the Distribution Center Service from Services Control Panel.

  3. Edit the following configuration file and delete the local password value. Save Changes.

     

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Distribution Center\dcenter.local

    If your distribution center was installed in a custom location or drive other than C, please navigate to dcenter.local file accordingly.

     

  4. Start the Distribution Center Service from Services Control Panel.

  5. Launch the UI and use default password admin followed by changing the password when prompted.
